Shame to hear you will not be participating, but thanks for the support nevertheless!

I’m at the second day’s end and have managed to rip enough code off of Dance of Death (my larger currently-in-hiatus roguelike) to have a strong enough start, despite having spent only a handful of hours developing.

I enjoyed reading your reviews last year; glad we’ll be treated to them once again.

Glad to hear it, Ganz. I still play this game almost daily… haven’t ascended yet, but I did get toasted by a dragon on level 26 not too long ago.

This is my favorite game at the minute. I’m still learning, and dieing pretty quickly – reaching depths of about 9 on a good run. The weird thing is, I can’t imagine how it is possible to survive traveling all the way to the bottom and back again, yet I still keep playing.

I hope you will! I recently had the same idea and I’ve started working on an Angband Underdark variant, but I don’t know if I’ll ever finish it… It’s so much work!

Oof, I wish. I got pretty busy with work and never got around to it. However, I do have a hankering to re-read the original Drizzt trilogy, so maybe I can at least go through it again and keep notes about how to build such a Roguelike. I’m sure I’ll get a game out of it eventually.
